Interactive Video Conferencing - Direct to your classroom ~ Available Now!
Interactive Video Conferencing (IVC) is defined as, “…technology that allows people at two or more locations to see and hear each other at the same time.” With that in mind, think about the endless opportunities for the classroom! Imagine taking your class on a field trip to the Great Barrier Reef off the coast of Australia without even leaving the classroom. Would your students have questions? How about letting the diver with the camera answer their questions while swimming with the fish! Do you need an expert to answer your students’ questions in science, history, math, literature and art? Or maybe you would like for your students to work with a class that lives in another part of Texas, the United States, Europe, and Asia just to name a few. But wait! Maybe you want your students to communicate with someone out of this world!!! NASA would be your likely choice.

So how do your students benefit? Your students gain the expertise of men and women who are tops in their fields. Your students will gain a new and wider audience for their ideas, writing and speaking. IVC will also help your students develop a broader view of the world leading to tolerance of cultural differences. Each IVC program will address TEKS and support TAKS.

So how does IVC benefit you, the teacher? Do your students have a difficult time with a particular concept? Do you need enrichment ideas? Do you want to reach your students in a different way? If so, we can find a program that will fit your specific needs.

A preview of things to come

Texas Heroes - Texas Heroes is a troupe of historians/actors that portray Texas and American heroes and heroines in the first person. In historically accurate historically accurate costumes, we tell our stories in first person. After a 30 minute interactive monologue, we switch into third person and answer questions plus add additional stories based on the questions.
The Constitution
- In this workshop, students who have studied the Constitution will analyze facsimile copies of the great charter and related documents from the holdings of the National Archives that illustrate the importance of the Constitution and its influence on our lives today.
This program is presented by The National Archives.

Programs will be listed on the Video Conferencing calendar. Space is limited and will be filled on a "first come" basis.
