New Parenting and Paternity Awareness Program Requirement for High School Health Education

The State Board of Education has approved a curriculum developed in conjunction with the Office of the Attorney General for parenting and paternity awareness education for all schools to use beginning with the 2008 - 2009 school year.

Curriculum and training are available at no cost to school districts. Matching Funds Available for Fine Arts Summit

Texas Commission on the Arts (TCA) has agreed to provide "Team Building" mini-grants for Fine Arts Summit participants. TCA will match Summit registration fees on a "one-to-one" basis. To apply to receive funding for Summit VIII registration, contact Ms. Anina Moore, TCA Administrator of Programs and Initiatives, at 512-936-6573.

 
Fine Arts Summit

The Texas Fine Arts Summit IX, hosted by the Center for Educator Development in Fine Arts (CEDFA), will be held Thursday-Friday, June 12-13, 2008 at the Airport Hilton Hotel in Austin.
