The  Region  III  ESC  TAKS  Benchmark  Program  is  a  Contracted  Service,  also  known  as,  Using  Data  to  Lead  Change  -  Option  II  -  Region  III  Pre-Assessment  Software  Program.

In an effort to provide the most convenient and efficient service possible, we have developed a File Transfer Protocol server, also known as an FTP server.  This allows your district to "share" files with designated Region III staff.  This "sharing" of files allows each participating district to upload their student files and place them on the FTP server for authorized personnel of Region III to download.  Once the student files are downloaded, the data is compiled following strict confidentiality policies governed by Region III ESC.  This data is used to prepare a Scantron for each student that includes the student's first and last names, student identification number, district, campus and grade.  The Scantron forms are then sent via Route mail to the district's administration building in an envelope marked "Confidential" to a previously established point of contact.  When testing is completed, the Scantron forms are sent back to Region III for scoring.  Once scoring is completed, the results are uploaded to the FTP server in order for the district to download, review, and generate reports.  Benchmark tests are given at various times throughout the school year at each district or campuses discretion.
