Special Math/Science Video Conferences
Teachers and students are invited to participate in monthly science and math related video conferences. This series also highlights the importance of math and science in careers.

The target audience for this series of video conferences is middle and high school students. All programs will start at 9:00am and end at 10:00am. Teachers wanting to participate will need to have access to NET3. If you would like to participate or if you have questions,  please contact Linda Dueser.

December 12, 2007 - Food Chemistry: Culinary Arts Center

Students will learn about careers in the food industry and learn fun tips on nutrition. The presenters are from the New York Institute of Technology and Culinary Arts.

January 9, 2008 - Careers in Math: National Science Center

Join the National Science Center for a panel discussion with experts and find out how you will apply math in the real world.

February 20, 2008 - Careers in Music: Cleveland Institute of Music

Students will learn how to prepare for careers in performance, music education, music therapy, recording engineering and arts management. 

March 19, 2008 - Careers at NASA: Marshall Space Flight Center

NASA is not just astronauts! Students focus on NASA careers in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics field.

April 9, 2008 - Forensics Life Science: Marian College

Students will be exposed to the lab techniques and procedures that are helping to solve many of the world's scientific mysteries.

May 7, 2008 - Snack Attack! MOTE Marine Laboratory

Discover what it is like to feed sharks live and talk with marine biologists.
