Our Autism Spectrum Disorders Program provides information, technical assistance and staff development opportunities to support school personnel who work with students with Autism and the parents of these students.
Training is designed to address the full range of student and district needs which include, but are not limited to: communication skills, social skills, assessment, academic skills, self-help skills, instructional methodologies, and current research in the scientific field of autism.
On-site technical assistance is available to help districts implement programs using best practices in visual strategies and other effective teaching methodologies designed for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Additionally, support is available to assist districts with compliance to the state requirements for extended-year programming, in-home training, and parent training.

*Autism 101: Top 10 Pieces to the Puzzle* This training has been developed and brought to you through the Texas Statewide Leadership for Autism. The goal of this training is to provide information on basic components of autism spectrum disorders. This is the first part of a series that will eventually include:
- Asperger's Syndrome 101,
- Classroom Organization,
- Behavior Issues,
- Social Issues and
- Communication Issues.
These six modules will be offered as online training and will also be offered in the future as a face-to-face training Education Service Center, Region 3. These modules are the result of a project funded by the Texas Education Agency in collaboration with the system of twenty Education Service Centers that are geographically distributed across Texas.
